Obscure Colorado Law Gets State Legislator Off the Hook for DUI

Stopped by police, Colorado State Representative Laura Bradford failed a field sobriety test and admitted to officers she had been drinking. Yet thanks to a law providing immunity to legislators who are in transit between legislative events Bradford caught a cab instead of cuffs and went on about her business instead of off to jail.
